Veterans Advantage also offers everyday 15 percent Amtrak discounts, a good deal for veterans of any age and possibly a good deal for senior veterans, too.
discount applies to the lowest available Amtrak coach fare, while many other discount programs limit the discount to full fare. The 15 percent discount is also valid on offpeak Metroliner trains in the Northeast Corridor, and it is never capacity controlled.
Veterans Advantage is as you might have guessed a "club" offering a smorgasbord of member benefits to veterans. Membership is $22.95 for the first year, plus $4.95 for each additional family member you want to enroll.
Other travel benefits, available to family members as well as veterans, include about what you'd expect from a travel club discount program for hotels,
vacation rentals, rental cars and tour packages. As is often the case, those other benefits are provided by wellknown "partner" companies, such as Hotels. com and Collette Tours. As far as I can tell, Veterans Advantage members don't do any better than any of those firms' other customers (certainly, a quick check of hotel rates would lead to that conclusion).
Nontravel benefits include discounts on computers, entertainment, moving expenses, phone service, "gourmet" foods,[url=http://www.sport.fr/economie/airmax.html]air max hommes[/url], magazines and prescriptions.
